Awkward & Awesome Thursday, Edition 10

Awkward:

Using my cell phone to call my work phone so that I can appear busy so a creepy guy at work won't talk to me.

Said guy standing at my desk until I get off of my fake phone call so that he can talk to me.

One of my coworkers asking said guy if he needed help and him replying with "No, I just like talking talking to her. But she always seems busy..."
HERE'S YOU'RE SIGN!!

Awesome:

Getting to see Kenny Chesney in a few days with one of my very best friends.

Spending other people's money.

Deleting a number from my phone that should have been deleted LONG ago...

Pretty Little Liar

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the ability of people to change.
I have come to the conclusion that people can't change.

With the exception of people who make life altering decisions to change as a result of prison or rehab, people can't change.

I learned a long time ago that I can't change a person, but I always had hope that they could change themselves if they really wanted to; I now know that this too, is false.

What am I talking about?
I'm talking about liars and cheaters.
The old saying "once a cheater, always a cheater" is really true.  I don't think somebody who has cheated and lied for years upon years can simply stop--no matter how much they say they will.
Old habits die hard and changes for the better are nearly impossible.

Well guess what? I'm done.
You can take your dirty old habits and find someone else.
You're deleted from my life.

Now, if only it was that easy...

Headlines, Edition 8

I didn't do a Monday Lustday post today because I really wasn't in the mood to go look for stuff.
However, I will tell you that I NEED new red high heels and black flats!

Anyways, I didn't want to leave ya'll without a post on Monday, so here's a picture I took today:

Why yes, that is a decapitated mommy sticker on the back of a car.
Slightly resentful ex-husband? I'd say yes...

Awkward & Awesome Thursday, Edition 10

Awkward:

The 3 boxes of chocolate I was given by an admirer--he then told me I was "too skinny" and needed to "chunk up" so that I wouldn't blow away in the wind.

When said admirer asked for my FULL name.

My phone fiance telling me he was going to one-up my admirer by sending flowers.

Awesome:

Cheap books--liquidation sales are great!

Luke Bryan--I now love him.

Making it two years without caffeine :)

"She Ain't Messin With No Broke..."

I'm not a gold digger, by any means, but I instantly get turned off when a guy tells me he can't do something because he's broke.

I don't need to constantly be reminded that
a) You don't have a job
and/or
b) You don't know how to manage money

Also, DO NOT EVER call your bank to check your balance while you're on a date with me.  You might as well turn the car around and take me home right that minute. What I hear while you're giving them your account number is that I am not worth your money.  Seriously, it's just tacky.
*I am not making this scenario up--it has happened to me before.

I have worked since I was 16 and have always had enough money to do what I wanted to do.
I don't pity you because you have no money.
We all have to work for our money--join the real world.

Sorry if this post offended you, but I have never been one to sugar coat things :)

Awkward & Awesome Thursday, Edition 9

Awkward:

The homeless man who comes into the bank and leaves his scent behind.  It's even more awkward knowing that he is actually a very wealthy man!

When you have paper stuck to your pants and your ex-boyfriend sees it and says "You have a dangler."
The only thing I could reply with was "Why were you looking at my butt!?"
EPIC FAIL
*definitely ranks in my top 3 most embarrassing moments*

Awesome:

Getting to see Rascal Flatts AND Kenny Chesney in the same year!

Spring Sing--even though I no longer go to OC (or any college for that matter), I still love to watch the Spring Sing videos on youtube.
