This is something that has been weighing heavily on me lately...

Why do we work so hard to reunite child abusers with their children?

The whole goal of DHS is reunification, which is fine and dandy with me if they know for a fact the children won't be abused again.

However, many times, the same thing will happen and the kids will be bounced from home to home AGAIN.

Why don't we just hand guns to murderers when we decide to set them free?

The "innocent until proven guilty" theory should be applied to alleged child abusers; 

if they're proven to be child abusers (in a sense, criminals),

put them in prison and take their kids away.

My theory, although considered harsh by many, is that child abusers should be sterilized.

Their kids should be put up for adoption and they should be fixed.

If the government can enforce the death penalty,
why can't they require child abusers to be sterilized?
Sounds logical to me...
