Defining My Own Perception: 2013

I'm linking up with Janna to share my expectations for 2013.

Perception Is Everything

I never make yearly resolutions, so I LOVED Janna's idea of sharing what I expect for 2013.

In 2013, I expect:

To help many more foster children.

To travel a lot--I'm sure I'll make MANY trips to Phoenix (to see to Jacob), but I hope to visit at least one new place this year.

To spend some time on a beach. I love Oklahoma, but I hate that it's landlocked. I plan to spend a few days doing nothing but laying on a beach.

To pay my car off and make, at least, a small dent in my MBA loans. This is a completely realistic expectation, but will take a lot of devotion on my part.

To drink more water. I've never been good at drinking the recommended amount of water, but I expect to change this in 2013.

To get to my goal weight and maintain it. I've been on Weight Watchers since last August and I LOVE it! I'm only about 10 pounds away from goal weight.

To make more time to do the things I love (like reading and working out) and spend less time on my computer.

To spend more quality time with my family.

To figure out what I want to do with my life--or at least take a few steps in the right direction.

What do you expect from 2013?

  3. I'm with you on the water. If I don't have a water bottle next to me at all times I will not get up to get any all day. And I wonder why I'm always nauseous! Happy New Year!

  6. Adam and I try to hit the beach at least once a year -- one of our favorite places. Don't care what beach or where as long as it is on the gulf or an ocean. I hope everything you are planning for happens for you in 2013! :)

  9. You will definitely own these in 2013! I got a measured water bottle and then I can drink 4-5 of those bottles to know that I am drinking the right amount. Water helps with sooo many things that I MAKE myself drink it. I also hope we both get some beach time! Thanks for linking up and Happy New Year!

  14. You're a total champ. Good for you for being so close to your goal weight and sticking with it! And I really love how involved you are with foster kids. I'm sure you will never quite know how much of a difference you're making in their lives.

  15. Oh gosh, I need to just copy this list because you hit the nail on the head with almost every single one! I can't wait to start making my own money and pay off my debt :\ Hubs has already started and has made a small dent... but it would be nice to get it over with! I'm just 15 weeks away from my B.A. (only a year late... whatever) haha
