THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

So...today has been a surprisingly good day considering I had a ridiculously hard test today.
Why, you might ask?

WELL....

I will be 21 in 29 days!
I will be in Jamaica in 36 days!

And best of all...

I will graduate in 163 days!
(So help me, if USAO comes up with some reason why I can't graduate, I'll kill somebody)

What will I do after December?
Well, I have a few ideas...
1. Take a road trip to see my friend Erin in Nashville
2. Go on a trip to Italy/Greece (highly doubtful but a girl can dream right)
3. Take a few months off and save up money then start grad school in August.

I couldn't be happier :)

Friday Love...Volume 1

I am in love with my job. Well...not EXACTLY...I mean, I don't love the hours but I love the job in itself. I mean, I get to sit on my butt at a swimming pool and get paid for it!

I am in love with a little boy named Stephen. A few years ago, this little boy stole my heart while I was working at Epworth and I never really got it back. Everyone warned me about how horrible he was, but I quickly discovered his problem; he had a bad family and just wanted some love and attention. From hugging and kissing him everyday to cleaning out a burn wound on his foot--I gave him LOTS of attention. Years later, why is this little boy still on my mind? He came in to the pool today and quickly remembered me :)

What are you in love with?

What Happened to My Break??

I have been a horrible blogger and I apologize.
As I entered my second week of recovery from surgery, I started work at the YMCA. Did they slowly add me to the schedule? No. 30 work hours later...I'm relaxing in my chair.

This has been such a long week and I still don't have all my energy back so I have been thoroughly exhausted all week...

At least I can sleep all day tomorrow. I'll need it what with my 25 hour work week next week AND starting summer school. Why, oh why did I not take the summer off of school?? Agh!

Tomorrow, I will remember Jacy. Not just because she is now in Heaven, but because she died on Memorial Day. Years later, I still remember that horrid day like it was yesterday. Jacy was my brother's girlfiend. She was leaving our house on Memorial Day and was struck by a drunk driver, killing her and her father. The grieving process for her family and our family was long and hard. Jacy was only 17 at the time--it was so hard to see somebody that young die. I had only seen older people die before that day. She didn't even get a chance to live her life...therefore, I try to live my life to the fullest...for both of us.

Instead of mourning her death, I have chosen to be positive. One more year of celebrating the short life she lived. Here's to you Jacy!
