Product Review

In case you frequently put lip gloss on in the dark,
I have THE perfect product for you:

Truth be told...
I can't say I am a big fan of having that mag light coming towards my face
and the lip gloss was decent, at best.

In case you were wondering, no, I didn't spend money on this product; one of my friends did, though!

Phone Photo Friday

These are some of the pictures I took on my phone this week:

This was down at the Pier.
There's a bad glare, so if you can't read it,
it says "no thongs except on feet."

That would be my name in a crossword puzzle!

I died laughing at this book!
It had postcards with animals and phrases like
"you were adopted," "you're fired,"  and "you weren't invited."
I almost bought it just for kicks.

My new favorite food.
I've had one like every day this week!
I'm already looking up recipes to make them at home.

I wasn't planning on getting out of bed today but somehow ended up at Tiffany & Co.
I was afraid they wouldn't take me seriously in my sweat pants,
but that didn't stop me.
There's nothing better than walking down the street in sweat pants,
carrying a Tiffany's blue bag.

Broken Heart

Because it's easier than explaining my heart condition,
I've just been telling people I was having surgery to fix my broken heart. ha ha

Three pregnancy tests later, I was finally able to convince the nurses that there was no way I could possibly be pregnant and they prepped me for surgery.
The surgeon was running way behind,
so I ended up waiting for six hours before even going into my (2 hour) surgery.
I then had to lay flat for 6 hours.

Between the two heart surgeries I've had, 30 spots have been ablated.

Supposedly they were able to fix the problem, but only time will tell.
However, now they are concerned about blood clots.
You win some and lose some, I guess. ha ha

I'm feeling pretty good, considering the circumstances,
but am extremely sore.

14 hours of laying flat + a foley + very little pain medication =
a very unhappy/uncomfortable Alana.

Despite my discomfort, I think I did pretty well.
I mean, I didn't threaten to kill my nurses this time...
That counts for something, right?
