They sent us home with a cost sheet for all of the standard upgrades so we can begin deciding what we might want before our next meeting (on May 27th). Of course, being the Type A personality that I am, I went through that list with a highlighter and figured out, to a penny, how much everything we wanted would cost us. We had to remind ourselves that we can't change the footprint or location of a house, but we CAN change the interior at a later date (especially if we can get the items at a more reasonable price on our own). So exciting! Your kitchen inspirations look great. At some point we will completely overhaul our kitchen, I can only imagine how exciting it is to make all these decisions without the demolition portion!

DeleteI can not imagine all the decisions you have to make when building a house. Holy cow - I can barely pick a body wash when I want to switch things up IT'S JUST SUCH A BIG DECISION (not really I'm just an over-thinking nut case.) I don't think I'd make it out of building alive. Your inspiration boards are sooo gorgeous though!!

ReplyDeleteOh gosh, we built our home last summer and I was so overwhelmed but excited at my first design center trip! I was the same as you and went home immediately and got to picking! Hope all went well today :) Just go with your first instinct!

ReplyDeleteI like whatever the blue looking back splash is! We have gray in this house and I love it. Although, my favorite room is a gray-purpilish color. It's adorable, yet matches with everything.
